Futures Conference 2026 – Call for papers

The Finland Futures Research Center, hosting the Helsinki Node of The Millennium Project, has launched a call for papers for its upcoming 26th Futures Conference, which will be held in Turku in June, 9-10.
This year, the conference will be focused on “Sustainability, Temporalities and Futures”, with the aim to with the aim to explore how society can implement just and effective sustainability transformations, connect long-term visions with everyday practices, and imagine innovative cultural, ethical, and economic pathways toward sustainable futures.
The conference program will consist of keynote lectures, parallel paper sessions and participatory workshops. The conference will aim to generate multidisciplinary, stimulating and critical discussions that promote networking between people interested in futures issues from different backgrounds and perspectives.
FFRC invites researchers, practitioners and alike from universities, research institutes, companies, governmental and non-governmental organisations to submit their abstracts no later than Feb. 2, 2026.
